Kaziranga: Rhino Country — Guides, Itineraries & Tour Packages

Kaziranga National Park in Assam is renowned for its thriving population of greater one-horned rhinoceroses, along with elephants, wild water buffalo, swamp deer and abundant birdlife. It suits wildlife enthusiasts, families, photographers and travellers combining nature with Assam’s tea-country culture. The main safari season is generally November to April, while the park may reopen in stages around October after the monsoon. Most visitors reach Kaziranga by road from Guwahati; Jorhat Airport is closer, though flight options can be more limited.
