Olympics are the biggest event which started first by the Greeks to connect the world through the sporting spirit. The modern Olympic Games introduced on 23 June 1894 at the Sorbonne in Paris. And to raise participation in the Olympics, the idea of Olympic Day first time got light in 1948 to memorize the first modern Olympic, the Olympic Day Declared 23 June.
Olympic Day Run is an event that organizes to encourage participation of different NOC (National Olympic Committee) in the Olympic Games. It is based on three pillars ‘Move’, ‘Learn’ and ‘discover’.
India is an underdevelopment country in the Olympics. We have now so many aspiring sportspeople representing different sports.
Here are some aspiring athletes and different sports personalities to represent India in Tokyo Olympics 2020. Wrestling has been our nation’s hot attraction Game due to its historical value. Some recent Bollywood Movies such as ‘Sultan’ and ‘Dangal’ also uplifted the position of this Desi Kushti. Sakshi Malik had won bronze in Rio Olympics 2016 and now she will lead the female Brigade of wrestling.
Vinesh Kumari Phogat niece of legendary Coach and mentor Mahavir Singh Phogat and Cousin of Geeta and Babita Phogat, is also becoming the hope of every Indian sports lover. Sushil Kumar, Bajrang Punia and some other male wrestlers are all set to go.
Mary Kom is an inspiration for every Boxer male or female. She had won several big titles in Boxing and at this age, she is fit & healthy to lead the boxing Brigade in Tokyo Olympic.
Indian boxer Shiv Thapa is another aspiring boy to show his ‘Hooks’, ‘Jabs’ and ‘Uppercut’ in the boxing ring.
There are some games we haven’t done something big in. But we are ready to show our strength. Om Prakash karhana (Shot put), Dutee Chand (Sprinter), Avatar Singh (Jodoka), Dattu Bhoknal (Rower) and some other, all are vying for glory. Paralympion Swimmer Suyash Jadhav says “Sports person need constant motivation and support to keep doing their best at their game.”
